WHEY PROTEIN

WHEY PROTEIN

Whey protein is a natural product with a high nutritional quality and it can be absorbed easily by the body. It is produced through the process that turns cow’s milk into cheese.

The main substances found in milk are casein (about 80 %) and whey protein (about 20 %). Casein is used in making cheese while the remaining by-product is mainly high-quality whey protein that is very soluble and easily absorbed.

As a result, the whey protein we use is not synthetic, but completely natural. It is produced by physically filtering whey left over from cheese making.

One of whey protein's main characteristics is its high biological and nutritional value, as well as the high-quality BCAAs (branched-chain amino acids), leucine, isoleucine and valine that it contains. These BCAAs are extremely useful for people who undertake physical exercise, as well as professional sportspeople.

PROPERTIES

• It helps to increase anabolism (protein synthesis).

• It is quickly digested.

• It is rich in BCAAs (branched-chain amino acids).

• It strengthens immune functions.

• It increases resistance during aerobic exercise.

• It is quickly absorbed.

• It improves strength during anaerobic exercise.

• It has a high biological value and protein contents.

It is very useful both in developing muscle mass and improving muscle tone. It can therefore be taken to increase muscle size, improve body definition, and also during fitness sessions. This protein can have different effects depending on the type of exercise undertaken.

COMPOSITION

• Alpha-lactalbumin: this regulates stress levels.

• Antibodies: they strengthen the immune system.

• Lactoferrin: this improves iron metabolism. Iron attaches better to haemoglobin, which then helps oxygen to be transported to cells. As a result, muscles tire less and performance increases.

• High content of BCAAs (branched-chain amino acids). BCAAs are essential in stimulating protein synthesis in muscles as they help to increase carbohydrate bioavailability, decrease fatigue and fight against muscle protein decomposition.

For the Abs product range, we have chosen 2 different proteins, one for each of our products, in line with their characteristics.
