Monohydrate creatine : Use
3 grams of creatine monohydrate per day, i.e. one measuring spoon, mixed with a moderately sweetened drink.
Creatine will normally be taken in the morning on an empty stomach. However, as part of a regular sports activity, it is recommended to consume 45 to 90 minutes before and after training, to facilitate the effort and then to promote the muscular development.
As the active carrier of creatine is insulin, creatine can be consumed with a moderately sweetened beverage to raise insulin levels.
Drink plenty of still water during the period of supplementation in order to avoid depriving the tissues of water and to avoid gastrointestinal problems and possible cramps.
If you completely stop your supplementation, it will take approximately 2 months for the body to return to the previous level.
During regular use of creatine, performance may no longer be related to its absorption: muscle cells can saturate. This phenomenon will be noticeable about two weeks after reaching your maximum in terms of performance. All you have to do is interrupt your supplementation for 15 days and then resume it at the rate of one spoon a day.
